- Classification of disability
- The terms used categorise the different disability groups is based on the World Health Organisation guidelines for classification of disability.
- Medical terminology convention
- The medical terms used in the description of particular disability and aging related conditions are based on the Paris Nomia Anatomica.There are about 5500 terms in the PNA. They are all in Latin and do not use eponymous terminology such as Eustachian tubes (after Eustachius).
